Twintip is a quick change throw-away carbide tool. A completely new concept, Twintip comprises two pre-formed carbide tips bonded permanently to a tool steel shank. The rigidity of the tool is exceptional, superior to all other systems employing inserts wether self-grip or clamped. All risk of accident due to tips flying off and breakage or damage to holders is completely eliminated. The robustness of the system allows the one tool to perform grooving, copying and facing operations as well as parting-off. Because of its reliability and the absence of a vulnerable tip carrier common to all other systems, Twintip provides a sensible solution to reducing the cost of grooving and part-off operations.
